El Salto
Rusó Sala

This is the first production demo I sent back to Rusó after she shared the song with me. Not finished, still in process, but the direction is already there.

Rusó Sala is one of the artists from the Iberian Peninsula I admire most. I was a listener before I ever knew her, I'd been following her music for years. Over time we found each other through shared friends and the musical world we both move through in Catalonia. She has five albums. This project is something different from what she's been making: her music, and me trying to find the right world for it. No rush. Just the two of us, our instruments, and a room. I feel lucky to work with artists I genuinely admire.

She sent me guitar and voice, some harmonies already sketched. In my studio I wrote the brass arrangements in MIDI, worked the voices into textures, processing them until they sat somewhere between voice and synth. That ambiguity is what the song wanted. This is what I sent her first.
